It was around 2 weeks after New Year we heard from this guy again and it
wasn’t in the way we wanted to. According to my neighbour at number 19-who has
small twins-he’d left a note on her windscreen telling her-and I’m
paraphrasing-‘don’t park outside my driveway, you’re blocking me in’. We all
thought it was strange, but shrugged it off. We knew he was weird after 8 weeks
of living in the same street.
However, she got the same note, as did the neighbour at number 15 and
her husband, who-as an electrician-has an electrician contractor van and the
neighbour at 6 and her husband. We at 17 never received this note.
He just kept leaving these notes on people’s windscreens-even if they
were visiting and not living in the street. It appears that there’s something pretty
strange about this guy-a lot stranger than usual. Unless his true colors were
showing through. And no, Cyndi Lauper, they are not beautiful
like a rainbow. They are horrible, nasty and vindictive.
Everyone who received a note, that I talked to, they just wanted to find
out who it was, storm up to him and punch him in the face. I found myself
thinking ‘I knew there was something shifty about them’.
Nobody knew who it was until one of us spotted him giving a car parked
near his driveway-not over, near-dirty looks, going inside for a
bit and coming out with a piece of paper, angrily lifting the windscreen wiper
and slipping the paper underneath before slamming the windscreen wiper back
down onto the windscreen. You wouldn’t even see that in an episode of
EastEnders.
